TOM FORD AW26 brings character into close focus
Haider Ackermann and Stuart Winecoff build the campaign around proximity, contrasting textures and individual presence.
Neon Lion Editorial ·
TOM FORD’s Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign approaches portraiture as a study of character. Haider Ackermann’s collection is photographed by Stuart Winecoff. On the official page, Ackermann describes people of different ages, alone and in groups, against a pale background in stark light.
Faces and clothes share the frame
The published sequences bring faces close to the camera, sometimes partly obscured by another plane. A separate detail combines striped tailoring, a pale tie and sheer lace. The materials create tension between the structure of a suit and a more delicate surface.
We read the close framing and material contrasts as the campaign’s distinctive language. The performer carries character; the image leaves more room for a gaze or texture than for scenery.
